Floored!

I was floored by these floors!

I just looooove tiles!

Which floored you more? I, of course, prefer the multi-colored ones.

Photos are my own.

Bright multi-colored floor is from Serenitea Megamall, gray-scale one is from Bizu Podium and the pastel tiled floor is from Aristocrat Roxas Boulevard.

Today, I am loving...

... these two Instagram accounts by @mommyshorts. I follow 330 IG accounts so I can't really keep up with my IG feed. Especially these days when I just have a few seconds to spend on Instagram, I end up just checking out these two hilarious accounts.

@insta2yearold is basically the world, in the eyes of a 2-year-old.

It has become my daily dose of chuckles for maybe half a year now.

Then recently, @insta2yearold's mom, @mommyshorts, started @averageparentproblems.

Also leaves me in stitches!

I don't mind missing a post on the 328 IG accounts I follow (IG Friends, no offense meant!). But I cannot miss a post from these 2 accounts!

Today, I am loving... the IG posts of @insta2yearold & @averageparentproblems.

Mommy Mondays: The-Day-Before-Their-Birthday Photo

I loved this scrapbook idea of listing the things your child loves at every age.

So I scrap-lifted it. I took a photo of Noah the day before his 9th birthday - his last day as an 8-year-old.

It was nice recounting the things he loved that whole year. Made me more melancholic about him turning a year older (and further and further away from his babyhood... sniff.), but it made me smile at the happy memories of the year that was.

Took a photo of him again the day before he turned 10.

I wish I started this ritual years earlier. Would love to flip through a book of these Day-Before-His-Birthday pages to see how Noah's interests change or remain the same (Lego minifigures as you can see here) and how he looks year after year. Hope he lets me do this for a few more years so I can have such a Memory Book of my Noah.

Photos are my own and from Playtime Break.

Can't find the link to Playtime Break anymore. But here's where I first posted about this scrapbook idea from Playtime Break.

In Reel Life

It reely looked like we were in a movie set! Yexel's Toy Museum recreated Tony Stark's lab with lifesize versions of the Ironman suits.

They looked so reel, I half-expected J.A.R.V.I.S. to speak and announce that we were trespassing. But he didn't. Maybe he was busy building a pod for the newest Mark? Mark-46? ;)

That Mark looks familiar though. I think I saw it being captured by the Stormtroopers earlier that day.

Reely like a scene from the movie, huh?

It was certainly awesome to see an army of Stormtroopers and Ironman suits in reel life!

Photos are my own.

The Ironman Room and the Star Wars Display were my favorites. But they also had lifesize Minions, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones displays at Yexel's Toy Museum at the 2nd floor of Manila Ocean Park. Without a Manila Ocean Park ticket, the Yexel's ticket cost P250 per person (child or adult).

Simple Trick: Cheaper Zara

Disclaimer: This tip only works for petite women. If you're model-like in height or curvier than a medium, this tip won't work for you. Also, this tip won't work for dresses - just tops and bottoms.

Where, you say? Where can you get cheaper Zara? In... Zara!

But instead of shopping in Zara Woman, try browsing the Zara Kids section.

Take this raincoat from Zara Woman. It's yellow, hooded with check lining. And it costs P5,990.

This one is yellow, hooded with a striped lining. But it's only P1,795!

Yes, it's for kids.

So you need to get a size 11-12 or 13-14.

Here's another Zara Woman jacket...

And here's the Zara Girls one...

Unfortunately, while the Zara Girls dresses are often cuter than the Woman ones, they're usually too short even for tiny 5'1" me. The great thing is that Zara Boys sometimes has nicer stuff than Zara Woman! Like this striped green shirt with the chambray and striped details. I just looove this!

Yes, we're not just limited to Zara Girls. Zara Boys is also an option. Here's a Zara Boys striped blue button-down shirt...

See how much cheaper it is than this blue Zara Woman button-down...

Or this striped Zara Woman shirt...

And for me, the double-collar detail of the Zara Boys shirt is much nicer than the Zara Woman options.

That's why I got that shirt for myself. As well as the orange version of the hooded raincoat.

So next time you're at Zara, check out the Kids section. They're not only cheaper, they sometimes also have nicer stuff!

Photos from garancedore, Zara Philippines and Zara US.
